Mark Cuban, Dallas Mavericks owner explained what he thinks about the age of Australian NBA player Thon Maker.
The Mavericks played with Maker’s Milwaukee Buck in Las Vegas during a preseason Summer League game, when the broadcasters asked Cuban about his opinion about the Australian who was born in Sudan.
About the 10th pick in the NBA draft 2016 Cuban said that Thon is good enough for a 40-year-old player and he can play.
Recently Mavericks traded Cuban for another big man, Andrew Bogut. Then he became serious and made a compliment to seven-footer. The multi-skilled seven footer has averaged 14.8 points, 9.8 rebounds, 1 steal and 1.3 blocks in previous 4 games.
He said that Thon is really good player because he is tall, athletic and there are all tools for him.
The age of Maker was the subject of speculation since hi declared for the draft in April. The sportsman is in the list of 19-year-olds. He was born in Sudan. When he was a child his parents moved with him to Australia.
He finished high school in Canada. One extra year he played at the prep school for avoid the rules of NBA which regarded draftees. According to these rules draftees must be removed for one year from high school graduation.
In his mid 20s Maker has been receiving many suggestions which he denied repeatedly.
